A Warm Welcome
If you’ve landed here, chances are you’re carrying a story that feels heavy. Maybe you’ve lived through developmental or complex trauma, you’re managing chronic illness or pain, or you’ve felt dismissed and retraumatized by medical systems. You may be longing for relief, safety, and a sense of connection within yourself.
I want you to know, you don’t have to navigate this alone.
My Approach
Healing isn’t about fixing what’s “broken.” It’s about reclaiming your wholeness. I believe therapy should honor the body, mind, and nervous system together.
In our work, I draw from:
• Somatic and polyvagal practices that restore nervous system balance
• EMDR and IFS to process trauma and reconnect with inner resilience
• Holistic support for women living with chronic illness, chronic pain, or medical trauma
Together, we will move at your pace, in a way that feels safe and supportive, as you step out of survival mode and into a more grounded, connected life.
My Personal Journey
Like many of my clients, my life has been shaped by trauma and chronic health challenges. My own experiences with developmental trauma, alcohol use disorder, and chronic illness inform my work and allow me to sit with clients in a deeply authentic way.
I know how painful it feels to live in survival mode. And I also know how powerful it can be to move toward healing.
My Professional Experience
I have worked in trauma-informed care since 2017, beginning in school and adolescent treatment settings and later expanding into outpatient therapy, clinical supervision, and leadership.
Today, I serve clients across Arkansas through my private practice, Thrive Within Therapy Services, where I specialize in helping women heal from developmental and complex trauma, chronic illness, and medical trauma.
In addition to my private practice, I work full time in community mental health in Missouri, where I supervise a team of 10 providers and co-lead the trauma service line. In this role, I focus on expanding trauma-informed care for marginalized and underserved communities.
I also teach as an adjunct professor, guiding graduate-level social work students as they develop into compassionate and effective clinicians.
My clinical training includes EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I also study polyvagal theory and integrative somatic approaches, which guide my work in helping clients restore safety and connection in their nervous systems. In addition, I am a trauma-informed yoga instructor and integrate gentle movement when appropriate.
Beyond Therapy
Through Sage and Soothe Wellness, I also offer non-clinical spaces for learning, coaching, and embodiment practices. These services are designed for nervous system support, creativity, and personal growth beyond the therapy room.
